Ministries at Second Baptist Church
We encourage our church family to get together outside of worship times. Our church offers a range of social, learning and volunteer events that help strengthen our members as individuals and as a community.
Fun Vacation Bible School Activities
The Women's Missionary Union (WMU) is led by President Patricia Thompson. The group is a great ministry for women to learn about God, participate in community service projects and help develop and strengthen young women and families. Women and young ladies can come and express themselves and exercise their spirit-led gifts and talents.
Youth are involved in all areas of the church
The Vacation Bible School Ministry is a great ministry for the youth to express their love and devotion to God through their gifts and talents. Active youth will enjoy the interaction with others with similar gifts and talents. Youth can demonstrate their creativity by creating and designing their own routines.
Youth Workers love and enjoy working with the children
There are a number or programs throughout the year for our teens to learn about the fundamentals of the bible including bible characters, memorizing verses, studying places and significant events. Wednesday night study, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School are just three opportunities for youth to learn the word of God.
